Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival

6 & 7 February 2010 - Barnes Bay, Bruny Island

The Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival will be held again next year on Feb 6th + 7th at Barnes Bay Bruny Island 2010.  The festival is a collaboration between the Aboriginal Community, Environmentalists and Musicians.  Key aspects of the festival include Joining Forces Forum, performance by Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, healing and craft workshops and a Mens and Womens circle.  There will also be a facilitated Kids Village, food and craft stalls, art exhibition, various speakers and a variety of performances by local bands and artists.  Stall holder enquiries welcome.  For more info call Michael and Ruth on 62931038, 0439320112, 0409107830 or by email.

Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival

5th-7th February 2010

A huge line up of hot international, interstate and local bands, are giving their time to join the celebration of Tasmania’s Forests. The forest festival this year in Jackeys Marsh will run entirely on renewable energy. There will be workshops, talks and demonstrations of sustainable living. There will even be a sustainable bar. Grand Opening - Source Community Wholefoods

Saturday, 13 March

After 5 years of hard work and hundreds of dedicated volunteers lending a hand, Source Community Wholefoods is opening it's doors.  If you want access to affordable, ethical food - Source is the place for you!  The Sandy Bay not-for-profit food store will stock everything from healthy treats to all the fixings for a gourmet meal to toilet paper! A florishing community garden, green waste recycling, wood-fired pizza oven and community leisure space complete the site. Geeveston Atmos Fair

Sunday, 21 March - 10am

The Atmos Fair is to encourage the community of Geeveson to find ways to become more energy efficient, reduce thier emissions and explore new and existing ideas in renewable energy, water conservation, recycling and local food production, save money and have fun! POGC FESTIVAL – BACK TO THE FUTURE - Penguin

27th and 28th March 2010

There will be garden tour on the 27th, with the festival happening on the 28th at the Penguin Organic Growing Centre. The festival will include plenty of great activities for both adults and especially for children, lots of stalls and demonstrations for sustainable living.
