Follow-up information from the public forum we held on Thursday 30th May is included here.
The feed-in tariff is the rate that owners of photovoltaic solar panels and wind turbines are paid for electricity they export to the grid. In Tasmania this is currently equal to the rate they pay for energy they import from the grid (27.785c/kWh for tariff 31). With Aurora Energy set to be disbanded at the end of the year, the future of the feed-in tariff is uncertain.
On behalf of the SLT board, staff and volunteers, I’d like to say thanks to SLT members, and an especially huge thanks to people who have donated to Sustainable Living Tasmania. Our organisation is now 40 years young and with your support we are really beginning to blossom.
