The Local Harvest Project is a new national initiative, co-ordinated by the Ethical Consumer Group (www.ethical.org.au). It is a one-stop-shop website resource for making local food choices beyond the supermarket.
It includes a directory of local growers/suppliers and DIY alternatives for food production. We're looking for people to help out, contribute funds, and spread the word.
We're using the Pozible crowd-sourcing initiative to increase awareness about the project and raise funds. It means that lots of people contribute a little to projects they believe in and together there's enough to get them rolling. Click here to visit our Pozible page and see how you can get involved.
If anyone is interested in being involved and/or contributing content for the website (we need some local Tassie knowledge) please email Serena ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
Wherever you are - you can GO LOCAL!
